Raymond P. Bergen, President & Controlling Shareholder
Mr. Bergen is the founder and President of Canreal Management Corporation. Canreal was established in 1979 and Mr. Bergen oversees the entire operations of the company. Mr. Bergen has been active in the real estate business for over thirty years and has experience in real estate sales, acquisitions, leasing, development, property management and construction management. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics from the University of Victoria and an Engineering Diploma from the Royal Canadian Navy Technical School. He is licensed in British Columbia and Alberta as the Managing Broker for Canreal.
Melissa Rogers, Vice President
Ms. Rogers has over twenty years of real estate and property management experience, of which approximately fifteen years have been with Canreal. She is directly involved in all facets of Canreal’s operations including property management, acquisitions, sales, leasing, development and construction management. Prior to joining Canreal Ms. Rogers was the senior property manager of Centrecorp Management Services, a large national company, and was responsible for the day to day management of its retail and office portfolio. In addition to her property management responsibilities, Ms. Rogers acted as controller for a chain of liquor stores in Alberta. She has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from McMaster University and is licensed in British Columbia to provide trading and rental property management services.
May Sprague, Director, Leasing & Acquisitions
Ms. Sprague has an extensive background in real estate with over nineteen years direct experience in the leasing of retail, industrial and office space. In addition to overseeing the leasing of Canreal’s portfolio, Ms. Sprague is involved in all facets of Canreal’s operations including acquisitions, sales, property management, project management and development. Prior to joining Canreal Ms. Sprague was the Leasing Manager for British Columbia at Oxford Properties Group Inc. She possesses a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia with a specialty in Urban Land Economics and is licensed in British Columbia and Alberta as an Associate Broker to provide trading and rental property management services.
Herbert Chan, Director of Property Management
Mr. Chan has over ten years of experience in project management and property management. He is involved in all facets of Canreal's operations including property management, construction project management, acquisitions, sales, leasing and development. For the last 5 years Mr. Chan has been primarily responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Canreal’s portfolio. Prior to joining Canreal Mr. Chan managed technology projects for numerous governmental and private clients in the United States, with a focus on safety, security, and risk management. He has a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Chan is licensed in British Columbia and Alberta as an Associate Broker to provide trading and rental property management services.
