ABOUT CANREAL > Key Executives and Management Team Raymond P. Bergen, President & Controlling Shareholder Mr. Bergen is the founder and president of Canreal Management Corporation. Canreal was established in 1979 and Mr. Bergen oversees the entire operations of the company. Mr. Bergen has been active in the real estate business for over twenty-nine years and has experience in real estate sales, acquisitions, leasing, development, property management and construction management. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Victoria, an Engineering Diploma from the Royal Canadian Navy Technical School, a Real Estate Salesperson’s License and a Real Estate Agent’s License. Melissa Rogers, Vice President Ms. Rogers has over fourteen years of real estate and property management experience, of which approximately eight years have been with Canreal. She is directly involved in all facets of Canreal’s operations including property management, acquisitions, sales, leasing, development and construction management. Prior to joining Canreal, Ms. Rogers was the senior property manager of Centrecorp Management Services, a large national company, and was responsible for the day to day management of its retail and office portfolio. In addition to her property management responsibilities, Ms. Rogers acted as controller for a chain of liquor stores in Alberta. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University and possesses her Real Estate Salesperson’s License. May Sprague, Director, Leasing & Acquisitions Ms. Sprague has an extensive background in real estate with over thirteen years direct experience in the leasing of retail, office and industrial space in the lower mainland. In addition to her leasing responsibilities, Ms. Sprague is involved in all facets of Canreal’s operations including property management, property acquisition and sales, property development and construction management. Prior to joining Canreal, Ms. Sprague was the Leasing Manager at Oxford Development Group Inc. She possesses her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia with a specialty in Urban Land Economics and also has her Real Estate Salespersons License. Herbert Chan, Property Manager Mr. Chan has over six years of experience in project management and his involvement with Canreal includes construction management, building restoration and renovation, tenant improvement management and equipment replacement, as well as managing approximately 2.4 million square feet of industrial, retail, and special purpose space. Prior to joining Canreal, Mr. Chan managed technology projects for numerous governmental and private clients in the United States, with a focus on safety, security, and risk management. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Chan also possesses his Real Estate Property Management Licence.
